If you choose not to get a Driver's license (for example, Mr. McBride) then you get a 'state ID'. This looks very similar to a driver's license, but instead only has the basic information and that you are from the state of California and a legal adult (and later able to consume alcohol in public). Since everyone in the USA decides to get a driver's license so they can drive, that becomes the form of state id, because it would be stupid to carry a state id AND a driver's license.<br/><br/>As far as the illegal debate goes, that sucker will get settled around the same time they settle abortion and gay marriage.<br/><br/>And for the record, I like my gigantic passport, hahahaha.
